This is a high-carbon ultra-premium Japanese stainless steel.  AUS-10 has an excellent resistance to rusting. The elements that make up AUS-10 help the steel reach a high level of hardness, wear and corrosion resistance, toughness, and superior edge retention.  The blade can easily be sharpened leaving you with razor-sharp edge. AUS-10 knives don’t need to be sharpened frequently. 

WHEN NEEDED USE A DIAMOND WHETSTONE OR BETTER TO RE-SHARPEN THE BLADE.
